Lincoln Park restaurant Alinea has racked up countless countless awards and accolades since it opened in 2005, and on Wednesday it nabbed another one.
The travel website TripAdvisor named Alinea as the second best restaurant in the U.S. in its Travelers' Choice awards, which are chosen based on the quality and quantity of reviews for a given restaurant over the last year.
TripAdvisor acknowledged Alinea's "seasonally driven menu" and highlighted one specific dish: Dungeness crab paired with squash blossom, cardamom and saffron, to trout roe with matsutake, apple and mustard."
One reviewer wrote, "There is no other place like Alinea. From the entrance to the ambiance, to the food theatre, it is a top-notch experience not to be missed."

The world-renowned restaurant plans to overhaul the storefront at 1723 N. Halsted St. and revamp the multi-course menu.
