The Buzz: Born and raised in Chicago's Cabrini Green Public Housing Development, Kenneth Dunkin has been representing the 5th District of Illinois since 2002. After completing his Masters of Arts degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, he went on to work as a social worker for many years. In addition, he was the Director of the Robert Taylor Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. Dunkin currently serves on the Associate Board of the Chicago International Film Festival and hopes to encourage film producers to bring more of the industry to Illinois by extending tax credits. Moreover, his current priorities range from reducing domestic violence to sustaining and creating new business.
