Two people were shot in South Holland Wednesday after an argument involving “several people” ended in gunfire, police said.
The two victims, who police only identified as “adults,” were shot about 6 p.m. in the 15200 block of Waterman Drive, police said. When police showed up on the scene they found the two wounded people. Paramedics arrived shortly after and took the two to area hospitals, police said.
Their conditions were not immediately known.
“What has been stated from a few witnesses thus far is an argument occurred involving several people and someone started firing a gun and several people were shot,” South Holland Police Chief Greg Baker said.
Everyone then fled the scene and officers were processing the scene, he added.
