Discover Cuts Dividend After Settlement Boosts Results

(AP) — Discover Financial Services said Thursday it managed to remain profitable during its fiscal first quarter, thanks to a payment from a lawsuit settlement, but it is nevertheless reducing its quarterly dividend.
