The leadership board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago hosts a Day at the Races at Zed451, which includes plenty of Mint Juleps, Derby-tinis, wine, beer and southern cuisine. Tickets are $75 per person or $250 for a group of four.
Bull & Bear hosts its third-annual "Derby Days" event. Place your bet with the specialty horse betting cards and win a variety of prizes. Specialty menu items include Kentucky Burgoo Stew, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Bacon Jalapeno Cornbread, and Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Bites, along with Woodford Reserve Manhattans and Mint Julep.
The Red Canary hosts a "Down & Derby" garden party that includes a special brunch, race viewing and party 'till 3 a.m. Mint Juleps will be priced at $5 and microbrew cans will be $3. The live viewing of the red carpet arrivals and race festivities will be shown on the outdoor flat screen televisions beginning at 3 pm.

Brownstone hosts its 7th annual Derby Day Crawfish Boil. The $25 All You Can Eat Crawfish Buffet includes 1,000 pounds of crawfish flown in straight from New Orleans, cornbread, gumbo and beans & rice. Drink specials include $5 Miller/Coors stadium cups and the traditional $5 Maker’s Mint Juleps and Saratoga Sunrises.

Chicago q goes back to its Southern roots by opening at 10 a.m. to begin showing the televised races. Drink specials include $5 Mint Juleps and $10 Bourbon Flights and $5 Derby Pie, Deviled Egg Flights and Smoked Ham Sliders. Guests are invited to wear their finest Derby hats and the best hat of the day will be voted on via Facebook and the winner will receive a $100 Gift Card and a Gift Basket of Chicago q’s house-made sauces, rubs and pickles.

Old Town Social, celebrates Derby Day with an authentic pig roast starting at 11 a.m. on the outdoor patio. OTS race day betting cards will be available for the opportunity to win prizes, along with a contest for the best hat and seesucker suit.

Frontier celebrates Derby with an array of themed signature food and drink specials. Featured items include an Agave Mint Julep, Grandstand Champagne Cocktail and Country Fried Steak. Patrons can view all the derby action in the upstairs lounge on the eleven 42-inch HD TVS and two 6-foot projectors.
Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro hosts a Kentucky Derby Fundraiser. The $40 tickets gets you an open bar, live music, hors d'oeuvres, games and raffle prizes.

South Branch throws its 1st annual Kentucky Derby Charity Event frin 3-8 p.m. The $12 ticket includes a donation to the Friends of the Chicago River, complimentary Kentucky Derby infield buffet, awards for best dressed and best hat and raffle prizes.

TABLE fifty-two's Derby Day party goes down in the second-floor dining room and includes a menu of seasonal Southern bites created by Executive Chef Art Smith and bottomless Angel’s Envy Bourbon Mint Juleps. The 2-6 p.m. event is $125 per person, all inclusive. RSVP required.

The Pony's Derby party begins at 11 a.m. and includes a Best Dressed and Best Hat Contest with $100 cash prizes, $5 Jim Beam, Makers Mark and Red Stag Cocktails, $5 Mint Juleps, raffles and giveaways including a trip to the Equestrian Connection Staples. A $10 Southern Buffet featuring fried chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes and more will also be available.

LUXBAR hosts a day at the races with $5 Maker’s Mint Juleps and Kentucky Creams along with several chances to prizes. Attendees receive a complimentary card with a racing pony's name on it, and those with the winning horse receive a $25 gift certificate. Plus, the person sporting the best Derby hat will win a $50 gift card to be used on race day.
