This may shock you. Young men and women will be sleeping together at the University of Chicago. Not like that. The school known for big IQ's has a big idea to create coed dorm rooms.
Male and female students will share rooms in a pilot program that begins next month. University officials say the idea came from students. Shocker.
"In today's day and age it's not really fair to discriminate based on gender anymore," Asha Woodall, 19, a sophomore at the U. of C. to the Chicago Tribune. "Sexuality is more of a spectrum."
There are reportedly coed dorms at more than 30 campuses around the country, inclusing Wesleyan University and Oberlin College.
