Rosie Skips The Emmys For HSN

As Hollywood gathers to toast the best of television at the Emmys, one of the show’s most winningest stars won’t be in attendance.

Rosie O’Donnell, who earned 11 Emmys for her daytime talk show, “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” will be on the Home Shopping Network on Sunday, appearing at noon, 6 PM and 11 PM to sell DVDs of her show’s first season.

“I just had a tour of the HSN studios,” she wrote on her blog on Saturday. “FAN FREAKING TASTIC.”

Profits from the DVD sales will fund the Maravel Arts Center in New York. She called her time on the show, which ran from 1996-2002, “wild.”

“It was wild to make it… to watch the clips for the first time ever, to remember way back when,” she blogged.

After concluding the show to become a full-time mom, Rosie stepped in as a moderator on “The View” in September 2006, leaving the ABC show in May 2007 following a heated exchange with co-panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She’s written two books since – “Celebrity Detox” and “Crafty U,” and hosted “Rosie’s Family Cruise,” but she still encouraged her fans to dial in to HSN.
