Smash-And-Grab Burglar Hits South Loop Business

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of costume jewelry

Police are investigating a burglary reported Saturday at a business in the South Loop.

Someone threw a rock through the glass front door of the business at 12:29 a.m. in the 700 block of South State Street, according to Chicago police.

The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of costume jewelry, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
