The newly renovated Sullivan Center, the historic State Street building that use to house Carson Pirie Scott, is now home to a new restaurant.

Chicago-based FlatTop Grill opened a 4,000 square foot location in the building (30 S. Wabash).

The Asian-inspired restaurant will be open for dinner on Monday, adds lunch service on Tuesday, and on Wednesday becomes the first restaurant in the 14-store chain to offer breakfast service.

FlatTop Grill is a create-your-own stir fry restaurant with a buffet where customers grab their ingredients, which are then cooked by the grill chefs.

The Sullivan Center has had problems attracting tenants to the building. It also houses a gallery for the School of the Art Institute.
