Wednesdays Get the Glam Treatment

A hot hump day dance party takes over hipster hangout Lumen

Mid-week partying just got a healthy dose of glamour with the addition of Burn Out Wednesdays at chic Fulton Market club Lumen. The hot spot will host this weekly dance party with rotating DJs and guest performers. Kicking off this Wednesday, April 8, the Burn Out bash will feature local DJs Kid Color and Black Holes.

Kid Color (a.k.a. Kyle Woods) comes to Chicago by way of Southern California. The in-demand DJ and producer has made a name for himself on the club scene by combining disco-house beats with fun, high-energy electropop. Friends Mike Perry and Harry Hart make up the local DJ group Black Holes, which produces an edgy, eccentric brand of hyphy, house and hip-hop music for clubs around Chicago and beyond.

This week's Burn Out bash will also present on-site makeup artists from MAC Cosmetics to up your glam quotient for the decadent proceedings, along with a super-cool photo booth from GlitterGuts, so be sure to put on your party best. Drink specials include $3 Pabst Blue Ribbon cans and $5 Svedka vodka cocktails. Table reservations are even available for cases of PBR at your disposal.

Lumen (839 W. Fulton Market, 312-733-2222) opens the doors at 10PM for Burn Out Wednesdays, and there is no cover.
