An 82-year-old rural South Dakota man said to have been lost in the fog was discovered more than 300 miles from his home.

Leonard Johnson, of Britton, S.D., was found a six-hour drive away in Grand Rapids, Minn., The Associated Press reported on Sunday.

After having been last spotted on Friday, police were on the lookout for his blue 1990 Ford F-150 truck. A man matching Johnson’s description was spotted the following day at a car dealership asking for directions, WDAY-TV in Fargo reported.

Officials said they believed Johnson made his epic wrong turn after encountering dense fog.
