Cleveland Police Gloat After Cubs Drop Game 1 to Indians

After a shutout loss to the Indians in Game 1 of the World Series, Cubs fans weren't feeling too optimistic.

Then the Cleveland Police Department came along to rub salt in all their wounds.

Taking to Twitter to boast about their home team's victory, the department tweeted from the official account: [[398624051, C]]

"Missing persons report filed for @Cubs offense. 🏽#RallyTogether #gooseegg #GoTribe @Indians," the tweet reads.

The message garnered plenty of colorful responses from fans of both teams, with one response crowning the department "Internet Champion," while a Cubs fan replied, "We are fine just ask the Dodgers after they shut us out."

No word yet from the Cubs' typically active Twitter feed, but it's clear that the barb was a departure from both teams' early show of sportsmanship, congratulating each other and wishing good luck before the start of the series.
