After three terms as State Comptroller and an unsuccessful run for U.S. Senate in 2004, Dan Hynes is now looking to replace Pat Quinn as governor of Illinois. A health care attorney, Hynes received his law degree from Loyola University of Law in 1993.
The 41-year-old comptroller is known for his successful campaign fundraisers. In 2008, he was able to raise over $2.4 million, most of which came from labor unions.
