Chicago to Open Outdoor Ice Rinks Nov. 23

Skating season runs through Feb. 24 at most of the rinks

The Chicago Park District plans to open its outdoor ice rinks on Nov. 23 — the day after Thanksgiving — if the weather cooperates. Skating season runs through Feb. 24 at most of the rinks.

Hours and skate rental prices vary. There's an admission fee at The Rink at Wrigley and at McFetridge Sports Center indoor rink in California Park. All other rinks offer free admission.

In addition to McFetridge and Wrigley, the Chicago Park District operates ice rinks at, Midway Plaisance Park, McKinley Park, Mt. Greenwood Park, Riis Park, Rowan Park and Warren Park.

More information is available at the park district's website.
