Six men are dead and 17 others -- including a 3-year-old boy -- have been wounded in shootings throughout the city from Friday night to early Sunday.

He was dead at the scene, officials said. A 27-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were also wounded in the shooting.

    The other men killed were:

    • Jamel Shepard, 39, of the 4900 block of West Washington Boulevard, and Darnell Walker, 55, of the 7100 block of South Euclid Avene, both shot in the chest while they sat on Shepard’s porch about 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
    • John Kouzious, 33, of the 3000 block of South Kedvale Avenue, and Jose Galvin, of the 4200 block of West 26th Street, gunned down in a vehicle that then crashed into a tree about 2:43 a.m. Saturday.
    • William Cook, 19, of the 5200 block of South Talman Avenue, shot in the chest in his home in the 5200 block of South Talman Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

In total, 17 people -- including those shot alongside Ervin -- have been wounded in shootings throughout the city this weekend.

The youngest victim was a 3-year-old boy who was shot in the arm about 11:30 p.m. Saturday as he walked with his parents in the 700 block of West 120th St.

The boy was listed in stable condition early Sunday. Police do not know what the motive was or whether there was an intended target.
