UPDATE:  Alexi Giannoulias has accepted the invitation.

In his victory speech in the race for U.S. Senate, Senator-elect Mark Kirk invited his former opponent to a beer at the Billy Goat Tavern.

"Alexi and I, during this campaign, we discussed having a beer when this is all over," Kirk said. "And so I will give this invitation: Alexi, if you still want that beer, I will see you tomorrow night at Lower Wacker Drive's Billy Goat Tavern. And the first round is on me."

Prior to the invite, Kirk said he received a concession call from Giannoulias, mentioning he was very kind and gracious, shouting down dissent from the crowd.

"For him, I especially admire his mother, who did a good job in many areas," Kirk said.

On a minor note, the address Kirk gave for the beer summit was incorrect. The Billy Goat Tavern is located on Lower Michigan, not Lower Wacker.
