Nickelodeon already had A-listers Robert Downey Jr., Katy Perry and Tina Fey lined up for its Kids' Choice Awards Saturday, but the biggest star on the program may be First Lady Michelle Obama, even if her appearance is via a taped message.

The network announced Thursday morning that Obama, who has made fighting childhood obesity her main cause, would be honored for her work at the 23rd annual awards show. The pair have been working together, with Nickelodeon donating $3 million for school programs aimed at getting kids to slim down.

The weekend event , to be hosted by Kevin James, will also bring together entertainers Steve Carell, Chris Rock, Jackie Chan, Jonah Hill, Queen Latifah, David Spade, Lea Michele, Dev Patel, Miranda Cosgrove, snowboard champ Shaun White and performers Rihanna, Justin Bieber. Olympic speedskating star Apolo Anton Ohno plans to aim for a new world record by getting flung into green goo by the Kids' Choice Awards Slime Slingshot.

The awards will be broadcast live from UCLA's Pauley Pavilion at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then, kids may cast their votes online in 19 categories, including: favorite couple, movie actor, singer, athlete and reality show.
