Some of his teammates refer to Blackhawks Captain Jonathan Toews as "Captain Serious." The 20-year-old winger is all business on the ice, often angry and upset even during practice. But even the ultra-focused Toews is smiling a bit these days.
After waiting a full month for his first goal this season, Toews is now finding the back of the net constantly. He's scored nine goals in his last eight games, including his first career hat trick Friday night against Pittsburgh. Heck, Toews is so hot he got the hat trick twice that night after his "first" third goal was waved off for a high stick.
Toews now leads the club with 26 goals, one of four 20+ goal scorers on the Blackhawks.
