David Ross has a new contract, and the Cubs manager's coaching staff has a new look to it.

The Cubs made a few changes to Ross' staff, announcing Friday Craig Driver is now the team's game strategy and catching coach.

Mike Napoli is now the first base coach, a position Driver held the last two seasons.

Craig Driver moves from 1B coach to game strategy/catching coach (i.e., the new Mike Borzello)

Driver's new position helps fill the void of Mike Borzello, the longtime associate pitching, catching and strategy coach whom the Cubs parted ways with after last season.

The Cubs previously added Daniel Moskos to the staff as an assistant pitching coach after Borzello's departure.

Napoli joined the staff in 2020, Ross' first as manager, as a quality assurance coach.
