Saturday's ejection drove David Ross to drink originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
David Ross did what many Cubs fans likely did in the back half of the Cubs Saturday night game against the Reds. On Laurence Holmes show on Tuesday, Ross said helped himself to a couple of cocktails.
Ross was ejected after Tejay Antone threw a pitch over Anthony Rizzos head.
Ross mightve needed those cocktails in the clubhouse, as he was left to simply watch when things intensified shortly after. Benches cleared when Adbert Alzolay went high and tight on Shogo Akiyama, leading to the ejections of three Reds: manager David Bell, Joey Votto and Jesse Winker.
If things werent bad enough, the Cubs eventually blew a comeback bid with a walkoff wild pitch from Craig Kimbrel.
Certainly, it was a game Ross would hope to forget-- whether helped out by a few drinks or not.
