Bargain Basement Bulls Tickets — Sort Of

Shop around before buying tickets for a Bulls game

The Bulls must be crazy because they're slashing prices! Every ticket must go! Come on down to Crazy Jerry's House for the best deals in town!

Well, sort of. For next week's games against the Warriors on Wednesday and Bucks on Friday, the Bulls are selling tickets in the 300 level for half-price. The first six rows, which normally go for $60, are available for $30, and the rest of the level are going for $20, while they normally cost $20. Beyond the fact that those regular prices are insane for a team that is in second to last place in their division, there are other options to watch the Bulls in person without breaking the bank.

First, that deal from the Bulls does not take into account the myriad extra charges that Ticketmaster tacks on to every order. Four tickets at the $30 level incurs more than $30 in handling and ticket delivery charges. When you thought you were going to pay $120 for tickets, the extra $30 might come as a shock.

At Stub Hub, you can find tickets for that same Wednesday game against the Warriors for $7. Craigslist has them for under $20. Both of these Web sites are selling market places, so the buyer should beware and be careful when purchasing from another individual, but neither of these sites would exist if every transaction was a scam. Better deals than what the Bulls are offering are out there, but as your mama told you, you better shop around.
