Colts owner Jim Irsay isn't giving any new updates about Peyton Manning's neck injury.
As speculation continues to swirl about Manning's availability for Sunday's season-opener at Houston, Irsay used his Twitter account early Monday morning to deflect talk that Manning needs a second surgery.
Shortly after a local sports talk radio host tweeted that Manning would need a second surgery, ESPN reported Manning would see several doctors this week regarding the slow process of recovery.
Irsay responded on Twitter with this: "There is nothing2say on Peyton's status except we move cautiously n deliberately on projecting, beyond day2day,his healing process n recovery."
Manning, the only four-time MVP in league history, has never missed a regular-season start and his streak of 227 consecutive games including playoffs is second all-time for quarterbacks.
