Pearl Jam Fans Pack Rainy Wrigley Field, Wait Til ‘Coast is Clear'

Pearl Jam fans were packed into the bowels of Wrigley Field Monday night as they awaited word on when the concert would start amid a bout of foul weather.

“Due to impending inclement weather, we are forced to clear the field and lower bowl seating area for tonight’s show,” Pearl Jam tweeted. “Please take shelter in a calm and orderly fashion and we will get you back to your seats once the coast is clear. Your safety is our utmost concern. Thank you.”

A similar situation in 2013 saw the band take the stage at the Friendly Confines and play until 2 a.m.

The band tweeted that the weather was "looking good" and another update would be shared soon.
