A 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting at a Will County church Tuesday night, just one day after Christmas, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. at the Christian Faith Center in the 1800 block of Water Street in unincorporated Wilmington, according to police.
Deputies were responding to a call of shots fired when they found the teen with an apparent gunshot wound. The boy was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, authorities said.
Little information has been released on what happened, but police did say the investigation into the shooting also involves another juvenile.
