NBC 5 Chicago is proud to sponsor the 2nd annual Polar Peace March. The Polar Peace March will take place on Sunday, January 17th beginning at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
The event begins at 4 p.m. with a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. The march, beginning at 5 pm, is peaceful way to stand up against violence throughout Chicago. After the march, participants and attendees can warm up with food and fellowship at St. Pauls. Join NBC 5 reporter LeeAnn Trotter as she hosts this exciting event.
The Polar Peace March is presented by UCAN, an organization that promotes healing, education and empowerment. It is one of Chicago’s oldest social service agencies. UCAN serves nearly 10,000 children, youth and families throughout Illinois with over 30 programs.
