Two people were shot at a gas station in south suburban South Holland early Friday, according to police.

The shooting happened at around 1:30 a.m. at a Gas Depot located at 15 East Sibley Blvd, according to South Holland police.

A Toyota sedan could be seen at the station with bullet holes in the passenger side window.

Several shell casings littered the ground near the car, parked by the gas tanks.

Investigators at the scene said it was a drive-by shooting and two people were struck.

Further details on the victims - including information on their ages and injuries - were not immediately available.

The gas station remained closed early Friday as evidence technicians continued to process the scene.

No one was in custody, officials said. Illinois State Police were assisting the South Holland Police with the investigation.
