A Gary man accused of slashing a man's throat at an East Chicago train station last month is in police custody.
Jawaun Woods, 24, is being held in the Lake County Jail, the Northwest Indiana Times reported.
Officials say Woods was hospitalized and apprehended by Indianapolis police earlier this month after he was stabbed during a dispute with a woman there.
Woods is accused of following a man into the bathroom of the South Shore station, slashing his throat from behind, stealing his wallet and keys and fleeing in the victim's car.
Investigators were focusing their search in Indianapolis after the stolen car was recovered there, and Woods was spotted on surveillance video at a drugstore.
Woods is charged with attempted murder while committing a robbery and robbery resulting in a serious bodily injury and carjacking, according to the newspaper.
