‘Time Out Market Chicago' to Showcase City's Classic Cuisines

The market will feature three floors of Chicago's best dining experiences

Time Out Market Chicago will open on Nov. 21, bringing the best culinary experiences of the city under one roof.

The market, which will be located on 916 W. Fulton Market, is expected to open at 8 a.m. to the public and offer a curated mix from some of the top chefs and restaurants in the city.

Time Out, a magazine focused on food and entertainment, first created a market in Lisbon in 2014, which intermingled editorials and food and culture from within the city. Now, it is one of the most popular attractions in Portugal.

“Time Out Market Chicago will bring a new culinary and cultural experience to the West Loop—we can’t wait to open the doors on Nov. 21,” Time Out Market CEO Didier Souillat said. “We created this spectacular place to showcase the outstanding talent of which Chicago is so rich.”

It will have three floors that will include 18 kitchens, three bars, a demonstration kitchen, event kitchen, entertainment platform and an all-season rooftop bar.

Time Out Market revealed the final additions of chefs and restaurants that will be featured in Chicago’s Market. They include Band of Bohemia, known for its award-winning brewpub concept; Chef Kevin Hickey and Brandon Phillips, featuring a fresh take on Italian beef with the debut of Decent Beef; Sugar Cube, featuring whimsical sweet treats; and Tortello that will bring a unique Italian touch to the mix.

The three bars will offer beverages curated based of off the magazine’s editorials and mixed by some of the best mixologist teams in the city, including Punch House, Arbella and Billy Sunday. Diners can also sip cocktails inspired by Chicago and its current and past markets such as the Fulton Market Handshake, which includes a Malort-based cocktail.
