“The Fridge” Is On The Mend

Willaim Perry reportedly released from hospital

Good news, Bears fans. William "The Refrigerator" Perry is on the mend.

After nearly a month in a South Carolina hospital where "The Fridge" was treated for complications associated with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Aiken Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Melissa Summer says Perry was released from the hospital Wednesday.

The beloved former Chicago defensive lineman suffers from a chronic inflammation of the peripheral nerves.

Summer had no details about about 46-year-old Perry's condition other than doctors considered him improved enough to go home.

Agent Adam Plotkin did not immediately return phone calls for comment.

Perry was a touchdown-scoring, 300-pound plus defensive tackle for the '85 Chicago Bears team that when on to beat New England in the Super Bowl. Oh, and he starred in that silly little dance video called the Super Bowl Shuffle.
