CTA Blue Line service was suspended Tuesday night between Forest Park and Pulaski after a man was found dead after being hit on the tracks at Austin, the CTA and police said.
Oak Park Police Watch commander Joseph Waitzman said a man was struck by a train and found dead. The department is conducting an investigation with CTA.
The man has not yet been identified. His body has been taken to the morgue at the Cook County medical examiner’s office, according to police.
It is not yet clear if the man was hit and killed, police said.
Some Blue Line trains are operating with residual delays after the incident, the CTA said.
