A piece of Chicago history is getting a state-of-the-art update.
The old Marshall Field's clock that hangs in front of Macy's on State Street is getting equipped with GPS.
The satellite hookup will keep both sides of the clock running exactly on time.
Pedestrians had complained that the two clocks showed different times, and occasionally both were wrong.
