Jewelry Store Heist Pulled Off By Hammer-Wielding Trio in Schaumburg: Cops

Three men with hammers stormed a Jared jewelers in Schaumburg Wednesday, smashed the display cases and made off with the jewelry, police said.

The heist took place in the 1700 block of Woodfield Road about 7:06 p.m.

No weapons were displayed, police said. An employee was in the store at the time of the theft.

It was unclear if anyone was injured or if there were any customers in the store.

A person who answered the phone at the story told NBC 5 they didn’t have time to talk and that something “traumatic” had just happened.

No other details were immediately available.
