Homeless man kept from ballot in Oak Park

A Cook County judge this morning ruled that a homeless man cannot run for village trustee in Oak Park.

Daniel Fore had sought to have his name placed back on the ballot for the April 7 election after the village's electoral board voted 2-1 to remove him.

Judge Patrick McGann upheld the board's decision, supporting the board's contention that Fore's homeless status makes him ineligible to run for elective office

Fore's attorneys said they plan to appeal.
