Hundreds of protesters on both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict rallied to bring attention to their causes in Chicago on Friday.
A rally at the Federal Plaza was part of a Week of Solidarity with Israel, being marked with rallies across North America. Attendees watched a large-screen monitor in the plaza as Israeli diplomats voiced their support of the Jewish State, its people and their right to defend themselves from terror. The rally was organized by the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago.
Hundreds of people supporting the Palestinian cause rallied in Daley Plaza a few hours later. Chanting "Free, free Muslim land!" they then marched to the Israeli Consulate.
