Hundreds Remember Boy Found Hanging

Many voice doubts about ME's findings

Hundreds of people filled an Evanston church Wednesday to remember 10-year-old Aquan Lewis.

The boy was found hanging inside a school bathroom last week at Oakton Elementary School. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Friends and family joined classmates and teachers at the funeral. Students from the school sang and the congregation wept.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the boy's death a suicide, but his mother maintains that the autopsy findings are incorrect.

Some of Aquan's friends don't accept his death as a suicide either.

"I don't think that what happened was his fault," teammate Jeilin Thomas told CBS2. "From how I know Aquan, I don't think he would do anything like that."
