Go to There: Story 2013

Just in case you haven’t heard of Story, here’s the gist: It’s a “festival experience for creatives,” meaning there will be artists, filmmakers, musicians, designers and tons more folks offering insightful presentations on storytelling and new approaches to it. Obviously, there are tons of applications this has for entrepreneurs, and the good news is that the event takes place right here in Chicago — from Sept. 18 to 20.

Tickets run anywhere from $299 to $399, and this year’s lineup of speakers and performers was just announced: Scott Harrison (the founder/president of Charity: Water, a nonprofit aiming to bring safe drinking water to developing nations), Howard Lichter (global director of creative outreach for Nike) and Mel McGowan (former Disney architect and head of Visioneering Studios).
