Suburban Man Wins Big in Illinois Lottery Drawing

A suburban man has some extra money in his wallet after winning a big prize in the Illinois Lottery’s “Lucky Day Lotto” drawing.

That man, Glenwood resident Ramone Houston, won a $400,000 prize in the jackpot on Oct. 14. He purchased his winning ticket at the Stop & Go Food & Liquor in Chicago Heights, and the shop will receive a $4000 bonus for selling the ticket.

According to the Illinois Lottery, Houston plans on buying a house with his winnings, which came when he matched all five numbers in the October drawing.

“Lucky Day Lotto” drawings take place twice a day, seven days a week, according to the company.
