Food & Wine Mag Honors Pilsen Chef

Nightwood's Jason Vincent makes 2013 "Best New Chefs" list

Nightwood chef Jason Vincent is in some rare company.

Vincent has been named one of Food and Wine magazine's Best New Chefs of 2013.

Ten chefs from across the country made the prestigious list this year, and are chosen from a list of nominations from food critics, writers and other experts. The editors travel to each restaurant incognito in making their decisions.

Vincent joins an impressive list of previous winners that include chefs such as Thomas Keller (1988) and Chicago stalwarts such as Rick Bayless (1988) and Grant Achatz (2002) and Stephanie Izard (2011).

The 2013 winners will be featured in the July issue of the magazine and will be honored at a gala event in Aspen, CO in June.

Vincent, a Cleveland native, has been executive chef at Nightwood since it's opening in 2009.
