Chicago police were investigating after a man died on Friday following a rollover crash along Harlem Avenue near Summit, authorities stated.
At around 3:29 p.m., officers were called to the 5200 block of South Harlem Avenue near the Interstate 55 underpass regarding a collision. Footage from Sky 5 showed a vehicle that had flipped onto its hood in a wooded area.
The area was cordoned off with police tape as officers and first responders worked on scene. According to police, a man was found unresponsive inside a flipped-over vehicle in a wooded area near the north entrance of I-55.
The circumstances regarding the crash remained unclear Friday night. The incident was under investigation by the Major Accidents Investigations Unit.
