A DePaul student was sexually assaulted and robbed near the Loop Campus Friday night, according to a public safety alert sent by the university on Saturday.
The student was walking near Congress and Wabash at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to the alert. He was approached from behind and incapacitated with a noxious substance on a cloth, the alert said, then dragged into an SUV.
The student was then sexually assaulted and robbed, but was able to escape the vehicle before the offenders fled in an unknown direction.
Chicago Police could not immediately confirm the incident.
