The former stepson of White Sox Executive Vice President Ken Williams was charged Monday in connection with an attack on a woman at the Palmer House hotel in Chicago over the weekend, authorities said.
Dedrick Williams, 30, was charged with felony counts of criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint, according to the Chicago police. He was also charged with misdemeanor domestic battery, according to police New Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
Perez said officers were called to a domestic dispute at a hotel around 3 a.m. Saturday. He said Williams and the 31-year-old alleged victim each told officers they’d hit each other.
The woman suffered a black eye, swollen lip and bruising to her arms, according to police reports.
Both refused medical attention, Perez said.
An acquaintance later took the woman to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and that’s where Perez said she reported the sexual assault.
Williams was taken into custody without incident later Saturday morning at his home in the 4700 block of North Central, according to Perez.
Ken Williams told the Chicago Sun-Times that he hasn’t had any contact with his former stepson for "a couple of years."
"I hope the best for all of them," he said. "That’s too bad."
