White Sox Ink First-Round Pick Nick Madrigal

Madrigal received a signing bonus of over $6 million

The Chicago White Sox agreed to a contract with first round pick Nick Madrigal on Thursday.

Madrigal, who is fresh off a College World Series championship with Oregon State, inked a contract for full slot value, receiving a $6.4 million singing bonus with the White Sox.

In 42 games with the Beavers last season, Madrigal batted .367 with three home runs and 34 RBI, and he also drew 16 walks while striking out just seven times. He also stole 15 bases for Oregon State.

The White Sox also agreed to contracts with right handed pitchers Davis Martin (the team's 14th round pick) and Jason Morgan, a 35th-round selection.

In total, the White Sox have now signed 34 of their 40 draft picks to contracts.
