Chicago Singer's ‘Voice' Proposal Takes Unexpected Turn

The adorable moment was briefly interrupted

As if getting a chair turn from a superstar coach on “The Voice” wasn’t enough, Denton Arnell decided to take things to a new level.

The Chicago singer got his first “yes” from John Legend while singing Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” during the blind auditions that aired Monday.

But he didn’t stop there.

“Is it OK if I just share this moment with my girlfriend?” Arnell asked the four coaches.

That’s when his girlfriend, Tiffany, came out on stage.

“Being that [Legend] gave me a 'yes,' I wanted to see if Tiffany would give me a 'yes,'” Arnell said while pulling a ring out of his pocket.

The adorable moment was briefly interrupted when the couple’s heads collided as he tried to get down on one knee.

But after a bit of laughter, from both the couple and the coaches, Arnell managed to get down on one knee – and earn his next “yes.”

The couple got a standing ovation from all four judges.
