The Chicago Blackhawks will drop the puck on their 2018-19 season with a road matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
The game will take place on Oct. 4 at the Canadian Tire Centre, and will mark the only time the Blackhawks will play in the Canadian capital during the regular season.
The Blackhawks' home opener will occur three days later, when they welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs to the United Center for an Original Six matchup.
All 31 NHL teams announced their home openers on Wednesday afternoon, with the full schedule slated to be released on Thursday.
Last week, the Blackhawks announced their preseason schedule, which also features two games against the Senators.
