Three people were killed and another two wounded in a shooting in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Around 2:58 p.m., officers responded to the 3900 block of South Albany Avenue for a report of multiple victims with gunshot wounds, according to Chicago police.
Two men, 18 and 19, were pronounced dead at the scene, and a male whose age was not immediately known was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinia Hospital, police said.
Two other men, also 18 and 19, were transported to Stroger Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital respectively. They were both in critical condition, police said.
The victims were in a residence when an unknown person entered and began shooting, police said.
One of the victims is a documented gang member, police said, and the incident appears to be narcotics related.
