Anthony Rizzo Set to Return to Lineup vs. Brewers

Rizzo has missed the team's last five games due to a back issue

The Chicago Cubs have won four straight games, but they’ll get some serious help in continuing that run on Saturday as Anthony Rizzo will return to the starting lineup.

Rizzo, who has missed the Cubs’ last five games after suffering back tightness last weekend against the Washington Nationals, will bat fourth and play first base for the Cubs as they look to continue their winning streak on Saturday afternoon.

The Cubs’ offense has been humming along nicely even without Rizzo in the mix, including Friday’s effort that saw the club beat the Brewers with ease even as Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Jason Heyward sat on the bench.

Cubs star Kris Bryant has had quite a career, and here are five fast facts about the All-Star.

That being said, Rizzo was seemingly rounding into form after some struggles in the power department. After going a month without a home run, Rizzo had four home runs and 11 RBI’s in 68 at-bats in the month of August, and he has coaxed 13 walks this month.

He’ll slide back into the cleanup spot Saturday as the Cubs go for their fifth straight win. Cole Hamels will throw the first pitch at approximately 1:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon as the Cubs take on the Brewers.
