Pilsen Home's Facade Collapses

No one injured in the incident

A large chunk of a four-unit building's exterior fell to the sidewalk early Wednesday in the Pilsen neighborhood.

Firefighters said the 110-year-old building in the 1100 block of West 19th Street  was occupied, but nobody was hurt.

The building was evacuated as a precaution.

It's not clear why the facade collapsed. Fire officials later said the building is structurally sound.
