Military Aircraft Returns to Milwaukee Airport After In-Flight Issue

Airport officials warned that all flights in and out of the airport were being delayed by about an hour due to the "disabled military aircraft"

A military aircraft was forced to return to Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport Wednesday afternoon following an in-flight issue, authorities said. 

According to a spokesman for the airport, aircraft KC135 landed safely and without injuries following an in-flight issue. 

Delays were expected, said spokesman Harold Mester.

Airport officials warned that all flights in and out of the airport were being delayed by about an hour due to the "disabled military aircraft."

"We ask for your patience as aircraft maintenance crews work to get this aircraft fixed & moved off the runway ASAP," the airport tweeted.
