11 Injured in Crash Involving CTA Bus, SUV on Chicago's South Side

Eleven people were taken to area hospitals after a crash involving a CTA bus and an SUV on Chicago's South Side Tuesday morning.

The crash took place at around 6:30 a.m. on Ashland Avenue between 41st Street and 43rd Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, authorities said.

Sky 5 video from above showed the aftermath of an Ashland #9 bus that had collided with a yellow SUV in the northbound lanes.

Chicago fire officials said 11 people total had been hospitalized from the crash, but information on the injuries or their conditions was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
