Soupmakers say MSG is out

It's a common ingredient in processed food, but soup giants Campbell's and Progresso are vowing to stop adding MSG to all their products. They say it's not that monosodium glutamate is bad for you, it's just that customers prefer not to eat the food additive.

The FDA maintains the flavor enhancer is safe, but there have always been critics who've linked it to migraines, attention deficit disorder, and other problems.
